What do you see when you look into the future?

This is a question many people have thought of but have not bothered to answer. To understand this, one has to consider the concept of ‘past’, ‘present’, and ‘future’. The future is a step away from the present. It is full of uncertainties and mysteries not many wish to unlock. On the other hand, the present is the inevitable truth about the past. It holds the realities, potentials and opportunities. The past however, is where it all began; the old once new. The power invested in these three phases defines the personality of the individual. The individual who understands the past, the present and the future and is able to differentiate each from the other has the ability to achieve a lot in this life and ultimately become great.

Where it all started: the past. The past marks actions taken that were considered bravery or cowardice. In a review of these actions comes with a revelation as to those actions being wise or foolish; decisions that proved to be hasty, unplanned and intentional. Those revelations become memories which are sometimes wonderful and at other times detestable. As to a memory being positive or negative, experience is derived. A lesson could be the output that forms part of our consciousness and helps us better our sense of judgment and improve decision making.

The wake of realities and the moment of truth is the gift of the present. The present seems not to matter in spite of it being the variant factor for success. With all its luxury comes a shadow of uncertainty. There is something about the present: it’s a game. You either win by chance or clear cut strategies but between the two not many would stick to winning by chance. This is because we want to win by no fluke means or with no doubt in our minds that we deserve our success. How do we do this? The present holds the solution. In the present are opportunities that catapult us from grass to grace. Today holds the key to your success. The decisions taken in good faith is accounted for some time to come.

The ideal state, the stage of high expectations and the period of possible outcomes is the future. The future is highly elusive and does not usually fully reflect your efforts. The future is perfect but only in your mind. It is a period yet to come and usually its pre-manifestations are totally unreal. What you have in mind about the future is totally different from what you will get.

You do not get what you want in life but what you are in life. What are your worst fears in life? They are most likely not to materialise and so are your best dreams in life. In view of this there is the need to make conscious effort to be who you want to be become. Believe in yourself. I would like to conclude with a quote from Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe which reads “until one is committed there is hesitancy, a chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness. Concerning all acts of initiative and creation, there is one elementary truth, the ignorance of which kills countless dreams and splendid plans. That the moment one definitely commits oneself then providence moves too.”

The Perfect Law of Liberty

Rise above your feelings. Feelings are the senses of the human body. We are not only body but also spirit. Your spirit knows all things. Everything you need in this life is in the bible. Your life should guided by what the bible tells you. Most people think their life should be guided by what people say or what movies portray. Your response to the council of God determines your level of freedom in life.

Seek instruction from God and follow not riches. Choose the good path that cannot be taken away from you. Riches come and go but the love of God remains always. From the small corner you are, you can shake the world. You do not have to necessarily be busy. Just be obedient and make the right choices today so that you do not pay with your future.

Power without guidance is stupidity.Power breeds control that could influence your life and the life of many. This influence has to be positive and the only way to do that is to be obedient not to the power but the giver of the power who is the Almighty God. Power  brings liberty not disorder. There is a particular way to behave at a certain point in time. Understanding and maintaining that balance is the key to enjoying that liberty.

Choose to fear God  and He will take you places you are needed.
